First BioPAL Developer Webinar
On 30 June 2026, the First BioPAL Developer Webinar took place. The aim of this event was to introduce the BioPAL project (an open source scientific computing protect, which supports the development of ESA’s Biomass mission algorithms) and the use of BPS processors on MAAP to the Biomass community. The webinar featured a series of presentations, as “BioPAL GitHub Overview”, “ESA MAAP introduction and how to create an account”, “How to use BPS on MAAP”.
Around 50 people took part, including scientists, PhD students, postdocs and other users of Biomass data – now more aware of the various features available and able to start contributing to the Biomass mission straight away.
